Ink – 2D animation – five video loops

Home is inspired by Buryat culture and tradition. Dwellings, furniture, objects and clothing were traditionally decorated with ornaments. They were not only used as decoration, but were intended to protect the house and the wearer like a talisman and to spread positive energy. Buryats moved and lived as nomads in yurts. The land they moved through was considered sacred and they wore special soft shoes, so the ground wouldn’t be hurt. ‘Home’ is not a fixed location to me, but the care and love that humans share. The ink drawings are animated at a calm pace and laid out as a loop.
